"I hate guided tours, those sheepish outings on which you trail through streets following a barking man or woman waving a flag. A tour with a guide is a different thing altogether
I’ve just returned from 10 days in Nicaragua, where I spent most of my waking hours in the company of a man named Juan Carlos Mendoza. He was the perfect ambassador for his country: sharp-eyed, informed, entertaining, and with that knack of knowing when to sketch in background and when to let the place speak for itself"

Mentioned in his personal blog about his experience with
Juan Carlos Mendeza during his research trip to Nicaragua in 2007
Careli Tour guides will take the hassle out of your travel. They will provide educational information, insight into the Nicaragua history and culture. Tourism is new in Nicaragua however our guides receive every year training sessions; 2007 for example was focus on good practices. We are also helping them to develop on different areas of specialization such as birds, botany, herpetology, etc.. |

Henry Sequeira - History & Culture Expert
Henry is a 6’3 feet walking encyclopedia for the history and cultural facts of Nicaragua. He is a good resource of worldwide latest news. He also speaks English & French. Therefore our Nicaraguan ambassador for the French speaking clients as well. Henry entered Careli as a young single man, we saw him dating, getting married (the entire office went to the wedding). Now is so nice to see him in his new role of father. His son is only 2 years old but he is already familiar with the office.

Aura Mungia
She first got a university degree in teaching and later a post grade in education that accredits her as a university teacher. Right after graduating, started as a university teacher and 6 years ago she heard that Careli Tours was hiring tour guides, applied and passed Juan Carlos military training. Been a single mother was a challenge for her entering in the guides male role. Now she is one of the very few that has stayed in her role as a female tour guide and the only one in Careli Tours that enjoys nature very much. She likes to read, going to the theater, swimming, running, enjoys very much dancing with her 7 years old boy who is very famous in the office for his adults topics when discussing. She is very active and loves life! |
